Our Food Safety Program
NatureBest is dedicated to delivering the highest quality, healthiest food possible. To support this commitment, the company has implemented a comprehensive Multi-Hurdle Food Safety Program. This program begins at the source, with our suppliers, who are required to follow Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and to comply fully with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements in both their country of production and distribution. Additionally, suppliers are required to maintain a valid third-party audit to ensure ongoing compliance and accountability.

At the processing facility, incoming materials are inspected by a qualified Food Safety and Quality Assurance (FSQA) technician to ensure they meet established product specifications. Sanitation is carried out by a specialized third-party sanitation provider, with FSQA technicians validating the effectiveness of cleaning procedures through pre-operational inspections and environmental monitoring activities. To prevent cross-contamination and allergen cross-contact, all processing and cleaning tools are color-coded. Employees receive training in current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and our FSQA team conducts routine daily and monthly GMP audits of both processing operations and the facility itself.
Our food safety plan incorporates Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls, addressing all aspects of production—including ingredients, processing aids, processing steps, receiving, storage, and distribution.

To protect against foreign material contamination, products are visually inspected on the production lines, and finished goods pass through a metal detector prior to leaving the facility. FSQA technicians routinely verify the functionality of metal detectors throughout production to ensure optimal performance. Pest control services are provided by a licensed third-party provider. Our refrigerated processing and storage areas are continuously monitored through an automated system that issues alerts in the event of a temperature deviation. Additionally, FSQA personnel conduct regular temperature checks of both products and rooms during production. Our transportation fleet is equipped with advanced real-time video surveillance and temperature monitoring systems, ensuring product integrity is maintained throughout the supply chain.

Product identification and traceability are maintained throughout all stages of production, including raw materials, work-in-progress (WIP), and finished products. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are systematically recorded, analyzed for trends, and reviewed monthly by cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement. The facility is under 24/7 video surveillance, and access is controlled through an electronic key system and employee ID badges. Product development is led by qualified food scientists who collaborate closely with packaging suppliers to incorporate the latest technologies - taking products from initial concepts through market launch and post-launch support.

NatureBest actively evaluates the effectiveness of its food safety programs and implements improvements as needed to maintain compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements. This proactive approach ensures the company remains “audit ready” at all times. Furthermore, our food safety programs are certified to the Safe Quality Food Institute (SQFI) standard, which is recognized by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI). Continued compliance is validated through comprehensive annual third-party audits.
